Sizing
Salt Water Sandals have their own unique sizing system — so before you dive in, check the Size Guide below or visit our full Sizing + Care page.
Our adult styles are made in traditional US men’s sizing, so for US women’s sizes, simply go up two sizes (for example, Women’s 8 = Men’s 6 = Salt Water 6).
To make things easy, our size menu now shows both — SWS 4 / US Women’s 6 — and remember, US Women’s sizing matches AU Women’s sizing.
The adult range runs from Youth 4 (US/AU Women’s 6 / EU 36) through to Men’s 9 (US/AU Women’s 11 / EU 41–42).
When trying on your sandals, make sure your big toe sits comfortably within the stitched edge of the upper sole — that’s the best indicator of a proper fit.
You may notice that some newer pairs no longer have the size stamped on the sole. This change was introduced to make things easier for first-time customers (as the Salt Water size differs from the size on your box or order). It’s still the same fit and sizing — just without the mark underneath. Sizing is still marked on the inside back strap of the sandals.

Fit
Your Salt Water Sandals should feel snug across the foot when new — that’s exactly how they’re meant to fit. The water-friendly leather will soften, stretch and mould beautifully to your feet with wear, creating that easy, lived-in feel Salt Water is known for.
For the best fit, make sure your big toe sits comfortably inside the stitched edge of the upper sole.
If they feel a little tight at first, slip them on, step into cool water for a few minutes, and let them dry naturally on your feet — a simple trick that helps the leather mould perfectly to your shape.
Care
Made for beach days, road trips and everything in between, Salt Water Sandals are built to go wherever summer takes you. They’re water-friendly — you can swim in them, rinse them off, or wash gently with mild detergent and cold water.
Just let them air dry away from direct sunlight or heat and they’ll be good to go again. Over time, your sandals will soften and shape beautifully — a sign of all the adventures they’ve been on with you.

We ship Australia-wide and to New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Orders are usually dispatched within three business days (up to ten business days during busy periods and sales).
Please note: We’re unable to make changes to orders once they’ve been placed.

Please check your address and order details carefully — changes or cancellations can’t be made once your order is placed.
Sale discounts can’t be combined with other offers or applied to past orders.
Sale and final sale items are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. If you’re unsure about sizing, please don’t purchase final sale items.
Full-priced items purchased with a coupon or during a flash site-wide sale are eligible for exchange only.

Full-priced items can be returned within 30 days of purchase (or 45 days for December orders), provided they are unworn, in original condition, and include all packaging. Please try on on carpet.
To start a return or exchange, please use our returns portal.
- Returns: Shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
- Exchanges: Purchase your replacement pair and return the original, or select store credit via the returns portal.
- Faulty items: For sandals purchased via one of our stockists please contact the store directly. For sandals purchased via this online store please email photos, order details, and contact info to hello@saltwatersandals.com.au.
